Custom MCU Figure – Zeus (“Thor: Love and Thunder”)

Hello world! I have been inspired to make a custom figure of MCU Zeus from “Thor: Love and Thunder”, and here’s the showcase!

Gorr the God Butcher had begun his crusade of killing all gods in the universe, and he launches an attack on New Asgard where he was fended off by Thor and Mighty Thor. But in his retreat, Gorr kidnaps all the children. Coming up with a new plan to stop Gorr and rescue the children, Thor and his team arrive at Omnipotence City, the home of the gods, to appeal to their leader Zeus to raise an army to fight Gorr. However, Zeus rejects Thor’s request, confident that the gods are safe in Omnipotence City and that the God Butcher will not reach Eternity, a celestial being who can grant Gorr the wish to kill all gods. Zeus even refuses to loan Thor his Thunderbolt weapon to use against Gorr, and the last straw came when Zeus ordered Thor’s team detained so that Gorr will not find out from them the secret location of Omnipotence City. Thor and the others then attacked Zeus and his guards, and Thor managed to use Zeus’ own weapon against him, incapacitating Zeus and allowing the team to escape.

Recipe:
Head – Custom cast head from spartan118
Rest of the body – Boss Fight Studio Blank Male Body
Armor – Boss Fight Studio Gold Spartan Chest Armor, bought off eBay

Boss Fight Studio also produced character build kits for its range of blank figures, and they include a gold Greek kit which comes with the gold chest armor. So I decided that this armor can be used for a custom MCU Zeus. Additional patterns including wings and an Omega symbol were added on the armor, with the wings made from thin masking tape, and the symbol sculpted on using epoxy. Epoxy was used to add more mass on the upper arms to make them look less muscular, while thin masking tape was used to create the arm and leg straps. A Russell Crowe cast head was bought online, with extra hair and the beard sculpted on using epoxy putty.

Allfathers.

Brandishing the Thunderbolt.

“You’re all uninvited!”

Thor strikes back.

Just one more:

Zeus tasks his son Hercules to hunt down and kill Thor for his insolence.
