Custom MCU Figure – Kevin Bacon (“The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special”)

Hello world! Actor Kevin Bacon cameos as a MCU version of himself in “The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special”, and here’s my custom figure of him!

The legendary Kevin Bacon was chilling out at home and looking forward to spending Christmas with his family when Drax and Mantis broke into his house and declared that he was going with them as a Christmas present for Peter Quill AKA Star-Lord. Bacon immediately fled from the intruders, but they quickly caught up to him and, following a short altercation between the duo and the police, Bacon suddenly found himself rather compelled to agree to go with his captors. In fact, Bacon was totally stoked when he was finally presented to Star-Lord. That was until Bacon then came out of his trance and he started to freak out, finding himself in a strange place surrounded by aliens and almost getting attacked by a talking raccoon. Bacon later regained his composure and, after understanding the reasons behind his abduction, he decided to hang around for a while to spread the Christmas message by performing a song with the local band.

Recipe:
Head – Custom cast head from StarWarsGeek on eBay
Rest of the body, jacket – Purchased from Marauder Task Force

Yeah, a 1/18 scale head of Kevin Bacon was available. The other required parts were purchased from MTF, although the male black lab coat seems to be a hot item and stocks are often low. Kevin Bacon was actually wearing a black T-shirt underneath his jacket, but I figured that the overall black color scheme would not make the difference look too obvious.

Something got lost in translation.

And Mantis couldn’t remember doing that.

Groot later claimed that he thought it was a bad idea all along.

Up close and personal.

After assuring Kevin Bacon that no one’s going to hurt him, Rocket does a 180.

Some time later…

With the misunderstanding all cleared up, the Guardians now enjoy a Kevin Bacon Christmas gig.

Just one more:
